Strategies for a bioclimatic house. Comfortable living and panoramic views

Designed by Alventosa Morell Arquitectes studio in the province of Barcelona, the building is the result of a careful bioclimatic study, aimed at maximizing the environmental and thermal performance to obtain a passive house

The house is designed at the request of two sisters and shaped according to the needs of the latter: the desire to live together and to preserve their independence

The land where the building is located enjoys a panoramic view of Mount Collserola, located in the province of Barcelona

Bioclimatic studies on this area help architects to define design strategies: compactness of the building, exposure to sunlight, thermal resistance

Adapting to the topography of the terrain, two supporting walls support the light wood construction: five wooden structures perpendicular to the concrete walls outline the various spaces of the house

The building appears compact and highly heat-resistant and overlooks the landscape to the south thanks to a large "backward" window, which makes it possible to capture the sun's rays in the cold seasons
