House in compact wood

Wooden villa at the edge of the forest. The windows open onto the changing views of the seasons

Joris Verhoeven Architectuur studio designs a compact wooden house, built in a decent and sustainable way, which becomes part of its surroundings: without fences the pristine nature becomes its own garden

From the house it is possible to vividly experience the succession of the Dutch seasons, known for their versatility and changing colours. The windows have been meticulously designed and the building designed to be part of nature for this purpose

House in dark wood

The exterior of the building with its dark colours can barely be distinguished from the dark trunks in the vicinity of the forest. The house has no fence and the garden is made up of nature itself

House in dark wood

The house is built in a sustainable way: the structure is prefabricated and made of wooden boxes filled with linen insulation. The façade has been sprayed with a fungicide to prevent any damage to the wooden cladding. Like the exterior, the interior is made of wood and creates a rural atmosphere
