House on the Beach in Mexico. The Public Space on the upper floor for enjoying the view of the sea - TimberOnWeb
The architectural studio BAAQ' designs a house belonging to a development of 6 houses in the coastal community of Santa Helena Oaxana, Mexico, taking advantage of the existing fundamentals of a previous project that has never been realized.
The land, located on a second row of houses has a view of the ocean interrupted by other houses and dense vegetation. Considering this, to make the most of the view, the designer reverses the traditional architectural building program that includes the public ground floor and the residential and private upper floor
The public area is thus installed on the upper floor, enjoying the full view towards the ocean. In addition, in this way it was possible to place the bedrooms on the ground floor, protecting them from the sun. The project therefore has two faces: one completely open towards the sea and the other bordered by a white wall, with small lattice-like openings that create a private area.
