On a granite outcrop in the mountains of New Hampshire stands the award-winning wooden cabin, designed by I-Kanda Architects architectural studio, overhanging on a steep slope and oriented towards the surrounding landscape
The structure is supported by 9 concrete bases, which have been hand cast
The building, with its complex geometry is composed of a prefabricated wooden frame
This reduces time on the construction site and provides ready-to-assemble components
The trees that obscured the view were cut down to open up the view of the cabin to the valley and surrounding peaks
An 8-metre wide sliding glass window characterizes an entire wall
Thanks to the technologies and techniques of prefabrication, it has been possible to create angular corners, for an extremely original result
